One thing I did was build my hood in 2 sections.. the center is smaller and has 3 clips and the outer section holding it down.. the outer piece (hood itself) has 10 fasteners holding it down.. good to as at least 152 mph plus no glue holding it together

Here's ours. It's a mongrelized 6 pack 9" in height, clears an Indy tunnel ram with 2 1150's and a 4 inch filter. not to every ones taste but we sorta got used to it. Built because we used to travel the car on an open trailer, now we use an enclosed I'm going to get a flat hood and cut a hole in it and poke the carbs through with a (purple) perspex scoop

Do this car see any street use ? If you are on about ours then no, not at the moment. Over here in the UK, we have to have an "MOT" which is a certificate of road worthiness test. Unfortunately it won't pass due to having the forward vision obscured by the scoop, another reason why I'm going to a flat hood but every thing else is OK

I've also once drove into a short scale dragster in the pairing lanes so i can see the argument

This is a drag pac scoop on a Mas hood that I cut the six pack scoop off Looks nice; I had to grow my own. Apparently you can buy a complete early-style (2008 thru ?) lift-off Drag Pak hood for $2K+, but nobody offers a replica/replacement Drag Pak scoop separately.

My hood did this when I sealed it! guess I need better hood pins What brand hood? Pin-on at all 4 corners, or hinged in the back? Unlimited, hinged, stock latch with 2 quik latch pins( the small ones, my mistake, should have phonyed up for the larger ones) came off going thru the traps about 115 mph.

I got lucky, found someone who lost a hood in the big end, the scoop was ok, when they ordered a new hood it came with a new scoop, so I talked them out of the old one

Here's ours. It's a mongrelized 6 pack 9" in height... Lose any MPH as the scoop kept growing over time? Not noticeably, the scoop grew as the hp grew I'll have to wait until next year to see if the flat hood and perspex scoop improves things.
