I bought a 2006 nascar and want to drag race it with an automatic tranny. Anyone know anything about the R5 P7 Race engines and tranny swap? Thanks. Graybo

There's some forums on Facebook for the R5P7 motors. The members are very helpful.

If Leon sees this he’s well versed in the combo... as is Jesse Kloth.

Leon sells everything you need for the transmission to bolt up custom made headers I made a set of W2 headers work from steer rack and pinion I would suggest a tubular K member for the oil pan clearance for the headers to clear and rack up front other wise it’s pretty simple I had 1 of the first one out then that was before Leon came out with his set up witch is the best way to go

Leon's Bellhousing kit is probably the best way to go. Lots of converter stall speed, many would be running in 7-8K range with a 7" or 8" converter

They're a great engine, cheap parts are becoming harder to come by though
