I just got mine '69 RR back from the dipper a month ago. A buddy of mine also did his '67 Belvedere last summer. In my opinion, its the ONLY way to go. Mine is originally a Montreal car that saw five winters so it had its share of rust. I had blasted the firewall forward a couple years back but there was still the rust in the seams. After dipping there is no apparent rust ANYWHERE. I suppose if you have a relatively clean car to begin with then blasting would be the way to go but for anything else, dipping has everything else beat. It gets rid of EVERYTHING - paint, rust, seam sealer, bondo, lead filler. All you're left with is bare steel.
