Based on SAMTech.edu NHRA Factory Stock Showdown performance numbers from the first race of the 2019 season, the NHRA Technical Department is increasing the supercharger top pulley size on the 2019 COPO 350 combination from 3.350 inches to 3.500 inches and the 2019 Cobra Jet 327 combination from 3.250 inches to 3.500 inches. This will decrease the 2019 COPO 350 combination supercharger overdrive from 147.5 percent to 136.6 percent overdrive or 10.9 percent. Additionally, this will decrease the 2019 Cobra Jet 327 combination supercharger overdrive from 146.2 percent to 128.6 percent or 17.6 percent. As a reminder, no other changes may be made to all approved superchargers, including, but not limited to: (upper or lower pulley sizes, gear ratios, cases, rotors, etc.). All other permitted combinations in the SAMTech.edu NHRA Factory Stock Showdown will remain unchanged. This rule change will go into effect immediately. NHRA reserves the right in the future to make additional rule changes to control performance and maintain parity in the category.

"maintain parity": insure a politically correct result, rather than one based on merit or achievement.
Apparently NHRA is now an agent of the Democratic Party.

I couldn't agree more.....penalize those that have done their homework, reward those that didn't..... it's becoming the American way!!!

Nothing new. I recall the ever changing P/S weight breaks in the 70's when one combo was dominant over the others.

But this class is already a train wreck. Allow a super secret motor in the Challengers that you can only buy if you're in the "inner circle" from ONE shop, then add weight when that combo outruns all others. Then when the others out run that combo, you slow the blowers down???

Sounds like the NHRA circus has new clowns via this class.

This thread has turned into a circus..

Super secret motor? What are you talking about? DSR built Pritchett and Pawuks motors, Mike Moran mostly built Joe Welch's, and BES built Turks.. All won races last year...

I agree Mopar did not do their homework over the winter.. The same could be said about Ford and Chevy last year I suppose.. NHRA is trying to keep it even.

FSS is a heads up class. Stock and Super Stock for the most part, are not.

Geoff was very open about the fact that the improvements in the Dodges were from a redesigned air intake. He still has a standing offer to race any pre 2019 combination heads-up with one of his old motors in the car. No takers.

The CJ's and COPO's got fast with the stroke of a pen and guys cried their eyes out. Now NHRA is slowing them down a little and guys are still crying their eyes out. Amazing............

Ticket sales to the first races would say differently.

This kind of thing has been going on for a long time, who's surprised?
Someone comes out with a new setup/improvement and whining begins.
Turk made a comment on facebook that he had to work through changes with the Blackbird and now he'll have to work through the changes with the X-15 CJ ... it's racing.
I blame most of the Mopar camps problems on Dodge, why isn't there a 2019 Drag pack?

Just let everyone run the same blower at the same weight.

Some of you guys are cement heads as far as open minded thinking. Last year the Mopars were hit with a weigh penalty to even the field. Over the winter ford and Chevy petitioned for changes to improve performance and the changes were approved. If Mopar were to ask for changes they probably would have been denied because they were already trying to slow them down. This class is called factory stock and as in all stock classes they hopefully will keep all and any manufacturers in check or we shall end up with Pro Stock II and I don’t think we want that
