I love this Memphis show BUT man it’s getting old watching the weak cars they go up against. Racing on their street and getting killed in the 60 foot gets old week after week. This show won’t last if these races aren’t evened out some. Better save my old Mattlock dvd’s

How about Doc"s Fulton 900+ motor. I'd love to know what it makes on straight motor not enough to compete with the turbo hemi cars.

Yea, someone else won a race. Wasn't going to watch it, but then I saw Chief hit the wall, so I got the pop corn and watched. Vixen, Megalodon, and Birdman,, ,any one else running a Hemi(type) ? Bodie (SIC) use to run a Hemi, anyone know if he still is?

Is it just me, or was the show (or any race for that matter) not a whole lot more interesting before they all got sponsors, huge trailers, brand new trucks, and megadollar cars? When you offer up 200,000.00 pay-outs you are going to have that. Check out the pits at NHRA events and they pay out way less than that. Heck I shake my head walking through the Jr Dragster pits at my local track. Mommy and Daddy got to be rich. I was thinking more along the lines of the normal show where they do their list racing. When they were basic back half cars w/ conventional headed motors and more of a "budget" type of build. These tube chassis cars w/ the best of the best hardware really loses my attention quick. The Memphis show is a lot better IMO, but I agree w/ what was said earlier...if their competition never makes a somewhat clean pass, it gets old real quick.

I know people that have gone to Memphis and raced them. THE ONLY races that make it on TV are the ones Memphis wins. When Memphis loses (which yes they do) it does NOT get aired...LOL. So yea in a way the show IS scripted.

The Farm truck is one of my favorite things about the show. The truck itself, not him & Azn. Always like a good sleeper & this is it until it became world wide known because of the t.v. show.

I wonder what the future of "No Prep" is? I look at one set of no pep rules for back east on here recently, my tube chassis Cuda could meet those rules with a door tag I would have to step the power way up to be competitive though I wonder how quick and fast they run in the 1/8 mile ? I'd say for local tracks it ought to be good. Edit: if you are in Bend I don't what's closer to you than Madras and I don't think I've been ther since the early 1990's. Woodburn is a good tow (for my tastes) and so is Yakima. There is Walla Walla but I've never been there. Yet.

Just because you think it won't make it true. Horsepower is KING. To dispute this is stupid. C. Alston

209 in the 1/8 is just flat out haulin. One of our local grudge cars has been 3.69 at 210+ in the 1/8 & that is on true 10.5" tires. Crazy what some of you guys are going these days. I just can't afford to ever go that fast, prepped or not....
