Lots of surprises last night with soom bad and some good racing. Dominator's pit crew really screwed him up sticking his big foot in the staging lights. LOL. A couple of Hemi's in the final but I'm not sure what type of Hemi's they were.

Didn't watch it, waiting for the book to come out, Birdman is running a BAE Hemi, and I think Megalodon is also a BAE , not sure on the displacement.

I liked the fact that some of big headed 405 guys got their butts handed to them. Maybe its just how they edit stuff but some of the guys seem like real class acts while others are not so much... I laughed at Ryan comment saying its not good for him to guess at the tree because he has the faster car, just admit it, you got your butt TREED!

Nice to see a Mopar (all-Mopar) going rounds.
Gotta wonder what was up with the Crow, rearend in crooked, or a bent link, or what...
Was kinda surprising to see Reaper going rounds.
No idea what Dom's crewman was thinking standing in the beam.

Guess we all need a flat billed hat and black tube socks to look cool now, lol. Big Cheese's recovery must be going well...sure looks like he's eating good.

Did Lutz move to Oklahoma or what? Isn't his shop in PA?

I loved seeing Megalodon in the final. Nice seeing a Procharged car winning instead of breaking like they usually do.
Glad to see Goad doing well w/ the Reaper. Like him or not, he works hard.

Same for Larson.

Hey no spoilers! I try and avoid watching the races on youtube so when they do air, I don't know who wins... but inadvertently watched the vixen winning a race.

Did see someone talk about how much $ they have into it... like many of the other racers didn't spend as much. That's one part I can't stand, the excuses these guys constantly make. Sometimes just give the better car/driver credit.

I enjoyed it. One of the better shows in a long time.... Megladon is a bad machine. Almost always seems to make a good pass. Even though a 69' Camaro I still like the car. Hemi powered just makes it even better.

Always enjoy the no prp races. It would be better if they would just show the complete run, instead of all that different angle, inside the car, outside the car, front, rear BS they show on each race. Just show me the dang race. If it’s a close race show me stripe shoot. then you can show all the BS shots to impress all the nonracer viewers. 🤬

When you offer up 200,000.00 pay-outs you are going to have that. Check out the pits at NHRA events and they pay out way less than that. Heck I shake my head walking through the Jr Dragster pits at my local track. Mommy and Daddy got to be rich.

I was thinking more along the lines of the normal show where they do their list racing. When they were basic back half cars w/ conventional headed motors and more of a "budget" type of build. These tube chassis cars w/ the best of the best hardware really loses my attention quick.

The Memphis show is a lot better IMO, but I agree w/ what was said earlier...if their competition never makes a somewhat clean pass, it gets old real quick.

I know people that have gone to Memphis and raced them. THE ONLY races that make it on TV are the ones Memphis wins. When Memphis loses (which yes they do) it does NOT get aired...LOL. So yea in a way the show IS scripted.

I'd say for local tracks it ought to be good.

Edit: if you are in Bend I don't what's closer to you than Madras and I don't think I've been ther since the early 1990's. Woodburn is a good tow (for my tastes) and so is Yakima. There is Walla Walla but I've never been there. Yet.

That is correct. My car has been that quick at over 209. The "prep" on these tracks varies quite a bit. Some of them are good and others aren't. The race we made in Tucson the track was washed of all compound and it was like a skating rink for the first couple of rounds. The starting line improved with some passes but downtrack remained really tricky. We are going to try to make the whole series this year but that will be tough. The races are scattered all over the country.

209 in the 1/8 is just flat out haulin. One of our local grudge cars has been 3.69 at 210+ in the 1/8 & that is on true 10.5" tires. Crazy what some of you guys are going these days. I just can't afford to ever go that fast, prepped or not....

We have a complete spare BAE motor from pan to intake manifold including injectors, rails, fuel pump, oil pump...just pull one out and put the other one in. We have 2 spare 3rd members, 2 spare transmissions, spare mag, an extra converter, one spare complete head, and just about 2 of anything that can fail including axles, CF driveshaft, wheelie bars...the list is pretty extensive. We just got a new(actually a demo) 44' Intech gooseneck that Murder Nova used for 6 months last year. We feel really confident that we can compete. Still searching for the best tire, though. The medium M/T Bubbas work pretty well but we think the big Hoosier P/M tires might be a bit better. As soon as we get both motors freshened we'll get out to test. Our first race will be in Sonoma at Boddie's deal March 2,3. Then March 30 is in Bako for the WCHRA deal. We'll use these to test. As soon as the Street Outlaws No Prep schedule is posted we'll hit that full time if all goes well.

discovery must be paying these other guys something to fill the field. Who would tow all over the USA and lose?? LOL

I mean seriously, some of these guys are way out gunned and still keep showing....?? that's some DEEP pockets. If you have ever towed 8, 10 or more hours to race, it gets expensive with just fuel, food, and hotel bills. Even if you rough it and sleep in your truck or RV or trailer, its still a pretty good expense. All to go face 3 sec cars ?? I mean B-Rad , Eric Bain, Bobby Ducote, Etc these are 4 sec cars im sure but way outgunned otherwise...

I'm sure they get compensated in some way to be on the show. Some may say otherwise, but a lot of these guys already get paid for track appearances all over the states. I have a tough time believing some of these guys actually think they can win and would go all over for nothing.

Lutz also had a problem of borrowing parts from other racers and not returning parts. Larry is a class guy and lutz is in a class all by himself.

I actually know how this works. There are some guys getting paid show-up money. It's $4,000 and up depending on character popularity. The also-rans get nada. They do it for vanity and TV exposure.

Chuck and Elisa ended in a crash. Don't know the details but I heard it was a bad finish.
