It had been at least 2 months since I drove my car so I wormed it up and did a lap around the block when I got back I noticed fluid under the left control arm thinking brake cylinder I looked at it and noticed fluid coming from the bottom of the shock its C E 3 way adj. that's about 22 years old ,my question is it bad or from lack of use?

Blew the seal, the shock is toast.

That will happen when a moparsquid worms up his car.

that is true but in actuality they have seen very little street time in that period like say 300 miles or less

Shaft can get corroded, even slightly. Or even dirt build up on exposed shaft.

Also the thin film of oil on shaft dries/runs off.

Then shaft moves and swipe seal is damaged.

Seals hardened with age. The pros claim now to replace tires every 5 years regardless of tread depth due to aging/deterioration of rubber. Don't kill me that's what the pros are saying.

Keep old mopars alive.

I was told 20 yrs ago by a trusted Cooper tire dealer to replace all radials after two to three years no matter how much mileage was on them shruggy

Good way to sell tires. Had a set of BFG's on a car for 25 years. All depends how they are stored.

And you believe that guy? laugh2 If radial tires (or any other for that matter) have to be replaced after only two years, then something is seriously wrong with the rubber industry!

Wow. I have some cooper ht plus tires on my old truck that I bought summer of 2008 and they look next to new. Can you imagine if I’d replaced them four times already by that math how much money I would have wasted ?
