Only limiters being have to run pump gas (no E85) and not in a rail car or other 2000lb tin can, how would you (or better yet, how HAVE you) build it???
Doesnt have to be deep in the 9's, but a solid pass after pass 9 second ride (in the 1/4 mile of course lol) its definitely do able

I’m thinking it would be very doable but a project I have zero interest in. My sons stock crank 360 has gone several 6.54’s in the 1/8 (3200 pounds) which would be 10.20-10.30’s in the 1/4. It’s on alcohol but with pump gas compression and even with the less desired open chamber 340 style Edelbrock heads. The small 600 lift roller cam is missing out on the 318 cfm @ .700’lift these heads put out. I would also step up his 4.10 gear slightly in place of his 750 alcohol carb a 1050 dominator would be tried. The heads would be cut for better quench for sure for BP 93. My Duster although a light weight (2820 at the time) easily went 9.80’s on pump gas BP 93 with a mildly ported set of W2 heads and a mild roller cam. A nice ported set of 360-1 heads, ported indy intake, and a nice roller cam packaged in a Stroker engine should be a cake walk on pump junk.

Any limits on cubic inch?

Any limits on cubic inch? Nope! Just like the original post says, must be pump fuel (not e85) and not a rail car and has to be n/a Lighter Weight for sure makes things easier on parts, but still curious to hear the combos out there

Eazy Peezy with a G3 Hemi at 3000lbs... Hmmmmmm, I dunno about that...I'd need to see more examples that prove it without any power adders

I am hoping to give it a try. I posted about heads in another post and I am really looking for a high 9 second pass. I always run pump gas on my stuff. Flat top 4.10 bore 4" crank. I had open Eddie heads before but now going with the Indy 360-1s and some porting. Roller 6.56 cam and a 950 HP carb.. Oh yea a 8.75 rear end " LOL

Bingo...Drives it 1000 miles and runs 9.80's on pump gas. He has posted his combo on here, and it runs the number.
