orderd a repro tube and stick for a small block 727, the tip of the stick barely sticks out of the tube wich puts full mark up in the tube an inch or more, doesnt seem right ??

I forget how far it is supposed to protrude with it seated. John posted it prior but I did not write it down.

somewhere in my mind, the correct full level is 1/4" or so, above the case opening/pan rail. all the sticks i have, the stick doesn't "stick out" much past the tube end. pun intended, of course. biggrin

I agree, the stick only sticks out of the tube a small amount.

It actually varies a little due to the curvature of the tube but, generally, the FULL level is a little over 1/4" above the ledge in the case. The tab in this pic bolts to the ledge.
