one to the starter big wire and one to the selinoid (spellin) Thanks, That’s how I have it hooked up and it does bump the starter, but I thought the key had to be in the run position and it bumps the starter with no key. Just don’t want to burn up anything?

The big wire has power all the time. It comes directly from the battery. Your bump switch is bypassing the ignition switch. It's working as it should.
If you have the key turned on, the engine could potentially start. Be careful! Thanks, MSD igiition is on a switch and off

I usually disconnect the yellow ("I" terminal) wire and jump from the big post to the "I". This runs the least amount of current through the starter switch. This also requires the NSS to be working correctly.
