You could always have the original radio upgraded to modern am fm stereo with 180 watts total power, the ability to run up to 4 speakers ,with aux jacks for mp3 / ipod etc. . Radio will remain 100 % stock on the outside . We've done about 500 of these conversions . It is a very popular choice with my customers . Sure beats the heck out of an aftermarket radio in the dash . Let me know if I can help . http://wardsclassiccarradiorepair.com/index.htmlGreg

Greg, what does a 180 watts per channel do to a stock electrical system? Would there have to be any up grades to the wiring and charging system? It's actually 45 watts per channel x 4 speakers = 180 watts total. No upgrades needed at all to the cars wiring. The radios power and dial light will still plug in to the factory original plug underdash. Greg

Thinking of upgrading the sound system in the RR. (Been pushing the OEM '71 AM/FM stereo through some co-axial 6X9's forever... A 10-watt dinosaur... More than adequate for my needs in today's 'modern' world...
