That combo will probably work just fine but you could shed some rotating mass with some aftermarket stuff. Personally I like the willwood stuff, it seems like a good value. I have had a front kit for about 15 years and am putting their discs on a D60 I am about to install.

I have Aerospace brakes on my cuda and they work OK. Having said that, the next time I buy a brake kit it'll be Wilwood. Getting simple replacement parts from Aerospace can be a nightmare.

Whatever you do, plan the whole system instead of a bits and pieces approach. Master cylinder size, plumbing, get rid of OE valves and switches, and get the correct calipers and kits. Don't end up with dirt track parts and then wonder why the car won't stop.
If the results don't match the theory, change the theory.

Went from '73 disc front/ 10" drum rear to 4 wheel strange race brakes and the car stops MUCH better.

Which body style and size of the rear brakes does it have now? The reason I'm asking is if you have the small OEM A body 10x1 3/4 rear drums just switching to a set of 10x2.5 brakes on the back will help your car stop a bunch better BTW, I use to run a 1970 A body car in S/ST that was a little heavier than yours with the original stock disc brakes and the stock size rear drums, I ended up having a brake relining CO in SO CA reline several sets of the shoes with fork lift linings, that made a big difference on the starting line foot braking as well as stopping in the 1/4 mile I might a set of those left, PM if your interested in a set

Easy upgrade if you have 15 inch wheels is to install the larger 11.75 rotors. All you need is the larger rotors and the taller caliper bracket. You can do that swap in just a few minutes and you don't even need to bleed the brakes. The 11.75 rotors were used on the biggest B body cars so they should be fine for an A body at 130 mph.
If you want to take some weight off you can put Wilwood calipers on the larger 11.75 rotors. That is something I started doing about 20 years ago. DoctorDiff sells a kit for it now.

I just got through replacing my wilwood front rotors. I had some trouble but it was all my fault, first I forgot that I had vented rotors, then I ordered rotors from the current Abody kit and mine is 15 years old, third time was a charm though. Every one of my mistakes was in stock at Summit.

My old 63 Belvedere has been 9.23@145 on 4 wheel drum brakes, and before you say it dont worry I will never do it again.

By the end of the summer, my W2 360 should be finished. At present, I'm running 10.50-60 with a SB in a 3000 lbs car. The new motor should be 10.10 to 9.90. Should I be thinking new brakes other than the stock factory 73 disc/drum combo? As far as swept area goes, should be good. Use decent linings and fresh fluid. Nothing super fancy on the linings, but a decent friction rating. Brake Lining Edge Codes (and temperatures)

My Dart had Wilwoods on the front and stock drums in the back and went 9's at 136mph. It stopped fine.

I do suggest vented rotors, especially if street driven. I had 9" front drum spindles so the only kit I could find for that was the Strange-Engineering drag race kit with the thin non-vented rotors. It does ok but I would have been happier with something beefier like Wilwood.

When the rears rims are bead lock, the ID of the rim is 13 inch.Caliper size matters for wheel clearance and back space need to be attended to.
