Hi all, have a small dilemma with my 360 block, the oil passage on #5 in the block that meets with the oil pump passage in the cap has a small piece cracked out of it. Not sure what to do here, do i pull the piece out, clean it up a little and run it, any problems with the bearing or oil leakage? Anyone ever had this problem. please help Will post up some pics.

I'm not sure you even have to sleeve it, but yes break the piece off. And if you can sleeve it, that's the best fix.
Just another issue with the bigger mains of the 360.
Just because you think it won't make it true. Horsepower is KING. To dispute this is stupid. C. Alston

That small piece is definitely distorting the bearing fitment. See if you can knock it back flush. If so, and it is captured by the main cap, bearing shell and can't fall back into the bolt hole or go anywhere. You can run it with no migration or bearing distortion issues with a very high probability that it will be like that when you pull it apart for the next rebuild.

I caused that by grabbing a mini freeze plug that was a c hair too big. I tapped the broken chunk back into place & no issues
