Magnum 408, EQ heads with 2.02 intakes, flow is 272 cfm at .600. Cam is a Comp MuthrThumper, hyd roller 235/249/107 in at 105, Airgap dual plane, Quick fuel 850 Q carb, 10.1/1 compression, .039 quench, 17/8 dyno headers to start, will tune then switch to TTI 1 5/8 to 1 3/4 with 18 inch x 3 collectors. What do you think it will make?

Building an EFI 408 as we speak. Zero deck, RHS 2.02 heads, 10.7 cr, 236/242 cam @ 108 lsa, single plane intake, Scat rotating assembly. My builder says it should do 500 hp/525 tq. So that's my guess to the OP. Film @ 11:00

Greg, what is it going in? If a 63/66 dart, those tti step headers were a stinker to get in. Torsion bars, everything has to come out. And the oil filter adapter bolt has to be machined smaller. Passenger header has to come off to get that bolt tight. Real stinkers, but once installed...... nice

1965 dart, but I am using a coilover setup, no torsion bars. I checked the fit on the engine stand, and no problems once I ground off one middle motor mount. Maybe they moved a tube for the adapter? This Dart has no heater, radio, etc, light weight buckets, Wilwood brakes, and rack and pinion/coilover conversion. 904 trans, 8.8 rear with Ford disc brakes. Any guesses on curb weight?

The torsion bars go right through the tubes. Good you have a rack and coilovers.

Numbers are in! 504 hp at 5700, 518 TQ at 4600. 1 3/4 dyno headers. No time to test the TTIs. A big thanks to Brian Halfeger at IMM, and Brian Hanson at R&R performance. Brian at IMM picked out the cam, carb, and the basic head configuration, and supplied a lot of those parts. Brian at R&R did the EQ heads and machine work. A big thanks to Ron Quanstrom of R&R for his expertise in finding the power on the dyno!

I am VERY pleased. I didn't port match the intake, but did get quench down to .039. If the Dart the motor is going in is light enough (3,100?) the car might be capable of a 10.99.

In the first post you said 1.875 headers and in the post with the dyno numbers you said 1.750 headers.
Which headers did you use?
Just because you think it won't make it true. Horsepower is KING. To dispute this is stupid. C. Alston
