As long as he used the correct motor mounts it should be good. I don't know if all the spool type BB mounts are the same. When I got my car the previous owner put the 440 in with the stock SB k-frame and 1976 chrysler 440 motor mounts. It physically fit, however it placed the motor too high and too far reward, they had to hammer the oil pan sump to clear the k-frame. I fixed it with the conversion mounts. Also, the manifolds I was using were regular 440 manifolds, no the hp-manifolds but that shouldn't really matter. I could fit my hand between the manifold and inner fender but it was tight.
I would be concerned about how straight your k-frame is. In case you're not aware, those rubber bushings that go between your k-frame and the unibody are notched and it is those rubber bushings that position and center the k-frame. On mine, and some others I've seen, the k-frame has been rusted through where it's sandwiched between those bushings. Mine only had one bad spot but if you had several and didn't correct it while the k-frame is out, there would be nothing to center the k-frame correctly. Or if those bushings were really hammered out that could cause issues as well.

I noticed that the passenger side bushings look almost new, but haven't looked at the driver side. I'll check position and alignment when I get to the car next.

Nice reference in that article! Looks like it would be easier with motor out! With the motor removed, it wasn't hard to cut at all. I spent way more time making the template and transferring it than I did cutting. Anyhow, if you need any reference measurements just let me know. -Trent Any help you could give would be much appreciated! Do you still have a template?
