The rarest would be a 1971 Plymouth Sport Fury GT 6bbl. Only available for one month, August, 1970. the 1971 440 6bbl Fury GT was cancelled - do you KNOW for a fact any were built? I tend to agree with you Dan. That would also be good explanation for why Dan C's two early promo 71s were both T code 71s, rather than U code cars like the rest of the 71s. ..."Well if we are going to cancel the V code 71s (we only sold 61 last year anyway) lets go ahead and upgrade the 4bbl cars from T to U for 71....." imaginary conversation from the top floor guys at Chry/Ply... billyfury 70-71 Fury Collector- www.sportfurygt.com The fact that Dan's two "T" code 71 Sport Fury GT's exist, and probably another couple, means that the "V" code 71 was indeed available until the end of August, when it was officially cancelled. The two "T" codes that Dan had were the base model, so to speak of 1971 GT's. The optional one was a "V" code until the end of August, both of Dan's cars are August 1970 builds. Whether any were built, who knows, but the fact is: It was possible to order one in that month time period, if you wanted one. Even the parts book for 1971 shows a complete striping for the hood specifically showing either 440 or 44+6. In my mind, that is more evidence that they were indeed available, if you wanted to order one.

I own1 of the rarest C-body!! 1969 Dodge Monaco 500 Convertible DP27L9..... 1 of 2 made with a 440. The other one is a K code 440 so he has the only K-code and I have the only L code. on top of that the Monaco 500 were built and sold only in Canada. https://www.forcbodiesonly.com/mopar-forum/threads/1969-dodge-monaco-500-convertible-numbers.13322/Kevin Carpenter 1968 Newport Custom 1969 Dodge Monaco 500 Conv 1969 Plymouth Belvedere 1989 Dodge Lancer Shelby 1992 Chrysler Daytona IROC R/T 2004 Dodge SRT-4 Cool! I sold my 69 Monaco 500 convertible last year, only a 318 auto but all of them are rare. I used to own a 69 Polara 500 convertible L code and wish I still had both of them...

The funny thing about science is that if you change one miniscule parameter you change the entire outcome to the way you want it.

Would this have been the order sheet version in place for August of 1970? Was there a revision after this version? Am I missing something under the engine codes? How could/would one order the E87 version?

We picked up a 70 or 71 (Don't recall) Chrysler in West Tulsa that was red with white vinyl top and had a factory steel sunroof. A buddy scrapped it

Some of the rarest are the 300 Hurst, especially the convertible, 440-6 GT's and the 65 Sport Fury Convertible 426W 4-Speed cars.
The rarest would be the Pilot 65 Fury III 426 Street Hemi car, the Street Hemi was being considered for the C-Body line up in 66, but shelved and only put in the B-Body. The 65 Street Hemi Coronet (B-Body) and 65 Fury (C-Body) supposedly lived around the same time. Any ideas as to where the 65 Fury III 426 Hemi Pilot Car actually is, or does it exist? I heard it still existed without badges. In Michigan I believe. I read that they cast 2 sets of exhaust manifolds. I would like to see them and see what they looked like.
