Shifter/linkage/cable flexing, deflecting?
If the results don't match the theory, change the theory.

It is not the linkage. You have to jack the truck up, move the rear wheels forward and reverse by hand. Then you can shift it out of park. Work good on the a flat surface. Once you on a very little grade it stuck again.

last week I was closed, we are moving into a new shop. Phones where down for a few days, call me Monday, and until then, park on flat ground. You dont need Park to race. No kidding you do not park to race. How am supposed to get there if it stuck in park. Live up to it, your CRT transmission is junk. Yes I am unhappy after spending $3100 on a CRT transmission.

FWIW, every incidence of getting stuck in Park that I've experienced was due to an incorrect Park rod. The 904 rod works OK in the 727 most of the time except when under load. In the pic below the 904 is at the top.

This had crossed my mind, I am very aware of the difference, but I could of made the mistake. Something that needs to be checked.

are you not capable of removing the valve body? Maybe there's a member around your area that could lend a hand. After spending $3100 on this transmission, I should not have to work on it. It was supposed to new. Plus if something else is not right with this transmission. Am I going to be the blame since I removed the valve body?

Better question would be.. is the problem occuring with the linkage on or off the transmission
