I use the 5' ones.. and I dont use the heavy duty ones.. they dont make a tight enough radius

I use the 5' ones.. and I dont use the heavy duty ones.. they dont make a tight enough radius Yep - just found that out this weekend as I had to change my heavy duty one and Jegs only had the smaller one and fit is great.

If it gets near the headers it can melt(I assume thats what happened to yours).. but I rap 2 layers of high temp thermo tape on it and I rap that with safety wire to make sure it stays there.. havent had any issues since then

In my e body the 5ft was about 10" to short, ended up routing a 7ft around stuff because b&m doesn't sell a 6 foot one. Found a place out of ca "cable control inc" that makes one any length you want for the b&m shifter will hopefully get it in the car in the next few weeks
