I just picked up a pro ratchet shifter to go in an e-body and wondering if someone can tell me what length cable would work best? 3' 4' 5'?? It would go in the stock location with a 727.

Thanks!

Yep - just found that out this weekend as I had to change my heavy duty one and Jegs only had the smaller one and fit is great.

If it gets near the headers it can melt(I assume thats
what happened to yours).. but I rap 2 layers of high
temp thermo tape on it and I rap that with safety wire
to make sure it stays there.. havent had any issues
since then

In my e body the 5ft was about 10" to short, ended up routing a 7ft around stuff because b&m doesn't sell a 6 foot one. Found a place out of ca "cable control inc" that makes one any length you want for the b&m shifter will hopefully get it in the car in the next few weeks
