Did a search and nothing came up.

Aside from the design differences, are there any actual performance differences? Magnumswap mentions smaller runners... smaller enough to make a HP difference?

I'm thinking a 5.2 or 5.9 Magnum with Whiplash cam, 670 Holley Street Avenger, Dougs or Super Comp headers (plus VERY good exhaust). Thats getting close to 400HP. Am i going to lose power/potential with the Crosswind?

I have a crosswind on my 318. Seems to work fine. Times in my signature.

The volume of the runners is much less on the Crosswind--back to back dyno tests on a hyd roller cam street engine it came up almost 25 HP less than edelbrock in a 425HP engine volume is what matters--cross section of the runners is much less than the edelbrock Think of volume like this--intake is a cooler full of beer and 8 guys want plenty--bigger cooler is more beers everyone is happy I did the test on a 383 chevy but when I look the Mopar units seem to have the same disadvantage --smaller cross section and much smaller overall volume USA intake 1 China intake 1/2 it gets a 1/2 point for being so darn cheap I guess LOL

My engine is an enginemasters build. Find it hard to believe they left 25 horsepower on the table over a 200-300 dollar intake. My little motor would have busted 500 ponies at the competition most likely.
If that's true, I would buy the Edelbrock tomorrow.

Did a little checking around. Seems the LA airgap is indeed bigger.
But the magnum crosswind and magnum airgap are the same size according to several threads on another forum that were lengthy . Maybe there was confusion on that point, not sure.

I'm running the crosswind on my LA 360 in my vintage stockcar. The intake is drilled with both magnum and LA mounting patterns. I was pleased with the minimal amount it took to gasket match the intake.

I ran both on my stock bottom end 360 several years ago with no ET difference.

Well then... reason why i was asking, is that i NEED a swap intake for the Magnum i'm building... and there was a Crosswind advertised locally. I ended up picking it up today for the equivalent ov $110 US! Choke or not... i would have been WEE-TODD-DID to pass that up. Better... its brand new in the box, and with all hardware, hell... even the stickers are still there.

I took one look at it, and it looks stout. If the Edelbrock is any bigger, i'd be surprised. Better yet, LA-style water jacket. This thing should RUN.
