Well, I'm pushing the 8.75 hard enough and i want a better mousetrap. I have a nice 9" fabbed housing and aluminium bolt through center section.
I want to make it stock A body width so I don't have to get wheels right now $$$ Is there any way I can do it and use my current axles and brakes? Like if I put Mopar ends on it? Would i be cutting down one axle to do it??

Thanks guys

Not sure of the 9" pinion offset. If it's not to much why not. I did the same with a Dana 60. Used the old housing ends and 35 spline axles from a previous 8 3/4. Had to make the housing 1" narrower do to pinion offset. Didn't even trim the longer axle on the short side of the housing, just stuck it in further.

I did exactly what you are talking about I used mopar ends to use both my Strange 35 spline axles and my Wilwood brakes. Use of your axles will depend on whether the splines go completely through your spool and how long the splines are on the axles. Mine all fit together nicely so I saved a bunch of money..

That's what I want to hear! Everything is 35 spline so hopefully it works

im building a 9" to replace my 8 3/4 as well and am going to be able to use my 40 spline moser shafts and housing ends off of the 8 3/4. if you need any 9" parts quick performance is the cheapest that i have found by far

If I recall correctly, spline shape and placement in the spool, is different than others when using Mark Williams parts. You may want to confirm that, but that seems to be rattling in my brain.

"use it 'till it breaks, replace as needed"

Yep, Mark Williams has their own unique splines. Their axles will only work in their spool. Other company's parts interchange...Strange spool w/ Moser axles, etc.

the shafts and spool were moser, thanks for the heads up. i had asked both moser and quick performance before ordering parts.they said the same thing about mark williams.

Upnover, I upgraded my 9" a couple of yrs ago to 40 spline after twisting up the 35's. As I recall, you have to buy the large ford housing ends, because you have to use the large ford bearing to fit the dia. of a 40 spline axel.

FWIW...I've seen a bunch of twisted and broken Strange axles, but not Mosers.
