This is the first time I noticed. It looks like it has manual steering. Darn! That's too bad.
And that detracts from THIS car how?? : )

Of all the survivor cars that I have seen, I could count the number of 340 Dusters on my hand. They are just that hard to come by. This is just an amazing machine. It needs nothing and I'm glad that you actually drive it I have a 1971 Duster Twister in the GA4 Winchester Grey/Black stripes. Just a 318 car with the 3 speed. It's the only Twister I have ever seen in that color combo. No options either except for the am radio, twister package, and drip rail moldings. Yes it's manual steering to. As we say in the south, "aint nothing like manual steering"

This Duster is in amazing original condition with the factory applied Lemon Twist (FY1) paint, upgraded black interior & original 340 engine & A833 Heavy Duty 4- speed transmission. The car has 46,000 documented miles and I have two of the original E-70 14 polyglas tires. The drive train is untouched and has never been out of the car. This car was special ordered by the original owner,(of whom I am in contact with) from Swartzwalds Chrysler Plymouth in Alexandria Mn. The options he chose were, 340 h.p. package,HD cast iron A833 transmission(Chrysler went to aluminum in 73)with a Hurst shifter, interior upgrade package, tinted windows, power front disk brakes, undercoat w/hood insulation pad(still there) rear mounted speaker with fader control and the high impact, extra cost option paint, Lemon Twist Yellow. Instead of the 340 graphics package he decided to go with the beltline molding to protect his baby from door dings and such. The second owner,a dentist located in Rockford Ill and the person I purchased the car from, had the 340 stripes and callouts applied & the moldings professionally removed in 1999. I have the original 6 side moldings and they are in like new condition. The car was sold in 1999 to the dentist with 36,000 miles on the odometer as shown on a copy of his title. He had put approx 9,000 miles on the car before my purchase Nov 2008. This car was featured in the Muscle car Profile section (pg50)in the October issue of Hemmings Motor News. It was photographed July 9th of this year by Geoff Stunkard of Muscle Car Review magazine for an upcoming issue. To find one of these vehicles today in this condition is almost impossible.
