It depends of many things, but it's propably not a brand thing. Like said above, usually the thinnest point is between the intake valve pocket and the top ring land. I believe this depends of the application, how deep and large are teh valve reliefs and how high is the top ring land. We have used Icons in boosted application, it's a 400 with 4.15" stroke 440 pistons, and so far no problems. But if you plan to make big power you should use custom pistons for boosted application.

I run 30 pounds of boost on the 440source icons. No issues You are my hero lol. I love both of your cars on so many levels. It would be cool to see an expose on the a-body and the new car too. I've been a fan ever since the driveway burn out video from way back!

Thanks for the kind words. 😉 I forgot about those old driveway videos lmao😎 I built a launch pad at the new place, I have a starting line and 60 foot lay'd out lol. My cars are not show cars, there just rough ole hot rods that I have a lot of fun with 😆 Did you use to be in the old mofarts chat room with Blown71X and AL and Devil and the rest of the crew? Was thinking you might be Hay-zuse 😈

Need new pistons for 440 Procharged street/strip motor. Had Diamonds then used Probe. Been looking at Icon, need the 2618's to handle the boost. Are they decent or should I look at Diamond, JE or Ross?? Recommended by my Engine builder. I runem in my Procharged small block with as much as 20 psi boost - 110 race gas and water injection - no cooler.
