Is the only difference between a 1970 and a 1973 cuda door the extra beam in the middle of the door?

Can you use a 1973 door on a 1970?
Thanks for your help.

If cudas are like challengers (and in many ways they are) the cat whiskers attach differently. 70 has slots for a clip and 71+ has holes for screws.

In mid year, not sure when, the door frames were changed. It affects the window regulator. An early regulator will not fit the later door frames, but the later regulators will work in the early door frames. I found this out when I sold a regulator that was going into a 71. He had the later style doors and the regulator was restricted for full travel from the gear hitting the frame. Neither of us knew at the time about the changeover. He was able to trim the 70 regulator gear down and then it worked fine. Hope this helps.

Don't forget about the concave / convex door handles , or was that Challenger only ?

concave '70 Challenger
convex '70 Barracuda

flat 1972-'74 Barracuda & Challenger

the change took place somewhere during the '71 model year

1970 doors have more holes for the door panel clips at the bottom. Later years 'skipped' every other hole, so from memory the hole / clip count dropped from 7 to 4.
