The Eastwood looks interesting...higher output than the Lincoln....

If you get a good 110 model, make sure it's on a dedicated 20 amp circuit with 12/2 wiring. My Century welder pulls a lot of amps & does just fine for a 110V. Also, make sure you have a full range of adjustments for wire speed & heat, not just 3 position lo, med, & hi click, click, click. You need to be able to fine tune the settings!

iagree

running up my post count some more .

If you want to go pricey Miller Multimatic 200. Its a multiprocess welder, mig, tig, stick. It adjusts from 110v to 220.

Agree on the gas shielding, its a must! Nothing worse than weld spatter. If you use the MIG for sheet metal 110v is fine. If you plan to weld aluminum or thick 1/4"+ plate, you'll need the 220v.

I was thinking of mentioning a multi-process inverter welder too, but looks like they are minimum $600+.

I have an old (25+ year old) Hobart Handler 120 110-volt welder that has been really good, but the "Piecemaker" mig gun it came with is obsolete, so I got a conversion kit for it to use common replacement parts.

Earlier this year, I found a good deal on a Tweeco (same as Thermal Arc) 181i multi-process welder for $599. That is the lowest I have seen them, but only comes with the Mig welding gun setup. The Tig tourch and foot control were another $315.

I already had the cable and electrode holder for stick welding that I bought to use with my Miller Dynasty 280, but that could add around $100 to the cost of a multi-process machine setup if you plan to stick weld.

If I could afford the expense I would have preferred to buy a Miller.
It's just not in the budget. frown

My new Eastwood mig welder arrived today as it was supposed to.
I use it at a hobby level so it should be fine.

Kayse's new studded snow tires arrived from Tire Rack also.
I already mounted them on the rims using the H/Freight manual tire changer I bought last Sunday.
I found the tire changer (used) on c/list, it came with all the stuff to do motorcycle and atv wheels (rim clamp) for $50.

Kayse can't keep up at all now. lol
