Looking for shock advice. I have a 1968 Dodge Dart that has SS springs and and inboard kit. I have a set of Monroe shocks for an 1986 Dodge D150 I think will work.

Some 1/2-ton shocks are the same as the C-body rears; if you compare them to the stock Dart rear shocks they should have quite a bit more travel. Might even be longer, it's been a long time since I've seen a stock rear Mopar shock.
The point is that when the SS springs arch at the hit, they don't top out the shock.
No doubt the aftermarket adjustable shocks are better, but I've been low 10s on used stock shocks.

I used C-body and truck shocks, but finally went with Rancho 9000 series and they made a world of difference.

I just relocated the springs on my 67 barracuda and was wondering which shocks to use.

For a bit more money, a QA-1 or Viking double adjustable will be miles ahead.

I would agree with the above the Viking shock would make a world of difference.

How fast is this car? Anything much quicker than a basic driver is going to benefit from something other than a truck shock

Make sure you measure for the right size shocks. I use Competition Engineering. They work ok for a 11 second car and the price is not bad.

I tried the truck Monroematics on my '67 Satellite with SS springs. It would 60 foot pretty decent for what it is (1.68 to 1.72 running 7.90s in the 1/8) with them using bias ply slicks but when I switched to drag radials it would hook and then unload about 50 feet out and my 60 foot times would be all over the place.

When I took them off to replace them with some Competition Engineering drag shocks I noticed that the Monroes extended and compressed more like they were a 90/10 shock. The Competition Engineering drag shocks got my 60 foot times back where they were and they ride and handle way better on the street too.

Had 002/003 leafs on my old car. Weighed 3350.
Used the simple Comp eng 3 ways on the back. Car went 1.34 with them, and from outing to outing was very consistent.
I doubt another shock would have shown any gain. It dead hooked everywhere.
