Hi,

My 440 has stock pistons, comp cams XE262 magnum cam, Eddy Performer heads, CH4B manifold, and stock HP exhaust manifolds, 2.5" exhaust with crossover. I want to swap the Eddy 1411 with either a Quickfuel or Holley and keep it relatively cheap. I see there is a lower cost Quickfuel VS, then a SS and Q. I really haven't had a Holley in 20 years and am not sure which Holley or Quickfuel would be best for my street cruiser. A little tuning is fine, but out of the box performance is what I prefer. Any ideas?

I have the stock finelines fuel lines/look and want to keep metal lines if possible. Does anyone have a recommendation for off the shelf lines from stock fuel pump to carb for this application. I can't find it..

Will the Holley/quickfuel fit on the CH4B or do I need an adapter?

Thanks, Pete

Your combo sounds like it could use the 750 Quickfuel VS carb but it looks like they only offer it with a dual feed line setup. I really like Quickfuel carbs for their adjustability features and the one I have ran almost perfect when I got it.
It will bolt directly to your intake with new Superformance gaskets. There are a few different styles of stock looking fuel lines for this manifold and carb combination. Just search Google images for "steel line from pump to carb 440 Mopar" I found a few images pulled from this site.

Thanks Gus. I just think it is time with all of the $$ I have in the tuning kit, now extra squirters and going back in to thejets/rods. It is futile.

I was looking at this carb on Summit as a friend is running one on a 383 and is happy.
I am usually a google master finding stuff and I don't want to plumb my own lines as I will probably burn down my car,..

The new Street Demon is available in 625 and 750. They have electric choke standard. On my 360, the plastic bowl version lowered the carb temp by a full 20* over the Holley it replaced. That was with the cross over blocked in both cases.

The Street Demons will fit both bolt patterns. And the tune in them is really on target for our street cars.

I hadn't considered those. My crossover is blocked due to the Performer heads, so that is good. I will first get my car out and see if the new squirter and accelerator pump helped at all. Then I will check prices of the carbs and the lines.'
One think I noticed is that the fuel line from the Quickfuel seems to go right over the distributor due to the angle of the inlets... I do not like that..

I hate to impose, but can someone post an image of their quickfuel plumbed up to a stock pump with simple steel (not braided) lines, and minus the regulator. I have been online looking at every dual feed system possible, and am confused, as well as a little wigged out by the costs...

Here's mine with a Holley. The fuel line goes around the dist but has caused no issues in 20 years:

Thanks. It looks good. What material is that black line going from the dual feed down to the pump? I want to avoid rubber..

The black line is steel, I just painted it black. The only rubber is that short piece connecting the pump line to the carb line. Couple inches of high pressure fuel line and fuel injection clamps that are smooth and don't tear the hose up like typical worm type clamps.

These are good. Thanks! I am using the drop base mancini with the stock dual snorkel top and it looks like it would clear. I will go on their website and try to find the lines that go from the dual feed tee to the filter and pump.
