does anyone have a picture of the belt set up on a small block with no a/c? my son wants to remove the non working a/c on his 1974 charger but the alt. uses the a/c bracket and the water pump pulley is only a single groove. Thanks for any help.

the water pump/crank pullies as you know just need to line up & 440source & speedway have shims (speedways are chebbies but they fit (the WP ones only from them I have used) so you are needing a pic of a non AC alt bracket setup?

yes, right now he has 2 belts that go from crank to a/c to alt, and one goes from crank to p.s. pump to water pump.

likely you can keep the 4 groove crank pulley (looks unsightly tho) & how is the WP pulley looking as far as lining up with one of the crank grooves? (& using grooves that will line up with the alt & you can use either one of the alt grooves & the alt can be easily spaced forward or backward (to some extent). it might be awhile till I can get over to the shop & take a pic. a piece of tubing or a laser pointer works well for dead on pulley alignment for racing but for a low po app eyeballing is adequate.

so the power steering pump will run from the crank pulley only and the alt. will go from crank to water pump to alt. since he only has a single groove water pump pulley?
