Good Morning Guys, I spent some time with a local machine shop getting a 6.1 hemi cylinder head probed with the CMM(Component Measuring Machine) to get some critical measurements for my own needs. Once I clean up the dxf file data and create surfaces and points I'll post the dimensions that were found so that anyone who may need to used them, can.
Also, I figured this would be a good place to post critical dimensions as well so that anyone who may need them can easily find them. Below are some example dimensions that can be posted here for easy access.
OEM Installed Spring Height OEM Valve Length OEM Lifter Angle OEM Light seat height OEM Intake Valve Angles OEM Exhaust Valve Angles OEM Head Bolt Pattern Dimensions OEM Valve Cover Rail Height OEM Spark Plug Rail Height OEM Valve Cover Rail Dimensions OEM Camshaft Height (Camshaft Centerline to Crankshaft Centerline) etc, etc
Anyway, you guys get the point. I think a quick library for this would be useful for anyone looking to build or design something for a gen 3.

Got my first few measurements from the data that are pretty common I believe but just case some people don't, here is the data that was taken from my 6.1 hemi cylinder heads.
Height from Cylinder Head Mating Surface(comb chanmber side) to Valve Cover Rail Surface: 4.625in
Height from Cylinder Head Mating Surface to top of Cylinder head bolt mating surface: 2.75in
Height from Cylinder Head Mating Surface to top of Spark Plug mating surface: 6.202in
Lower 8 Cylinder Head Bolt pattern dimensions: 4.453in Height by 4.46355in Width, with each cylinder bore as the center of this rectangular pattern. I will submit a drawing later so this is more clear.
Still deciphering the remaining data points. Should have dimension of spark plug centers in reference to the bolt hole locations. Will have the valve cover bolt hole locations, the rocker arm bolt pattern, the rocker arm shaft centers, and some valve location measurements.

I have some pdf files that have some of the block dimensions, but they too large to post as attachments. I might try a zip file
Dave Weber has a factory drawing for a 5.7L block, but I haven't asked for a copy. He is usually pretty darn busy

Should be equal to the bore spacing as long as there is no center offset
