Looking for some advice on my sons Dart, trying to get 60' down but getting very confused.
Last season we were running Calvert fronts And Rancho rears with Calvert mono's and Caltracs.. Over the winter we installed Viking Crusader "drag heavy" shocks, RMS front upper tubular control arms, qa1 dynamic strut bars. The car last year averaged a 1.43 60' foot and was pulling the front wheels off the ground 8-12 inches. The best 60' with the new setup has been about the same 1.43 - 1.44 but it is not pulling the front tires up "maybe a inch or so.. In this video the fronts are set at 2 for rebound, 4 on compression, rear 12 on extension, 2 on compression.. This thing should be 60' much better !!
Any advice is more than appreciated..
Thanks [video:youtube]https://youtu.be/J6JBO_ph2f0[/video]

I don't see a link to the video. Could be me.

Just because you think it won't make it true. Horsepower is KING. To dispute this is stupid. C. Alston

Looks like the back end isnt doing anything..no lift
to the body.. tells me you need to hit the tire harder
and what rpm is the launch

It looks to me like it spins after the hit about the same time the front suspension tops out. Personally I would tighten the front rebound to slow the front rise and put a click or two in the rear compression.

I believe he was leaving around 2200-2400 rpm foot braking, I'm seeing the same thing, not much going on back there.. At the end of last season when we started racing it was reacting much better..and was leaving off idle..

it's a 493, with 727, 4.30 gear with 29.5x10.5w slick
per dyno sheets max torque 665 at 5100, max hp 710 at 6400rpm.may be a little more now due to some changes we made..
car is pretty consistent running 10.13-10.16 and going thru the traps at 131.5 - 132+mph.

Perhaps you should put last years shocks back in front and rear- get your base line back.
