Can someone tell me what is the difference between these two manifolds; #4529463 and #4532174 ? Try not to beat me up too bad. Thanks Paul.

My books show the 1st part number as being a single plane and the 2nd as a dual plane. Both being for a RB.

Ok

The 463 is listed as a single 4bbl RB for stage 4 and 5
heads.. I dont show the other manifold in my books.. might
newer than my books

The 174 number is a casting number, would that be the same as a part number. I've found pictures of the 174 manifold and the number is cast in. I couldn't find any pictures of the 463 to see what #s are cast into it. From what I've found both are single plane for standard port heads RB block.

I've heard good things about the 463. I have an opportunity the buy a 174 and I'm trying to determine if the two are essentially the same.

I dont know for fact but I'm damn sure that the 463
is the 4150 version of the P4529725 (4500 version)... the
casting numbers dont match the P/N of the part.. never
understood that

Could the 463 be the part number and 174 be the casting number ?

Sure... it could be
EDIT
one of the post above says the 174 is a dual plane

I have a picture of the 174 and it's a single plane.

Typically, the number cast on part is just that. Once machined, it gets another p/n pending its configuration. Meaning, different p/n standard port vs MW as an example.
The Monicatti Chrysler site has a chart. It's a stndrd port RB sngl plane.

The big brown truck dropped off my intake today. It's an 4532174 looks like a twin to the 4529463 either way it's going to work much better than the old torker I was running.
