I am installing some newly purchased Eddy performer heads I found here on Moparts and was advised by the machine shop that pressure tested them to use Hondabond HT on the intake runners and to not worry about copper spray on the fel-pro head gasket. He runs a busy shop with good reviews so I will take his advice. Any other real world experience?

Honda bond is excellent stuff for this application unlike most RTV's it withstands gasoline.

Take care,

Ok.. Thanks to all. Will keep the Hondabond, use ultra black on the end rails, and no spray on the 8519PT...
I will cross my fingers.
He also said OK to reuse my 915 head rocker studs as I am reusing the stock rockers. I bought ARP head and intake manifold bolts.

I have used Permatex 99MA "high tack" the thin red spray (glue/sealant) in the purple can on Felpro blues. A thin/light/even coat especially around the cooling holes. that stuff is very good for sealing and glueing gaskets in place. I know Felpro says use em dry/as is

I don't use anything on the tins other than RTV in the corners, no one I know does. Using the RTV around the ports won't hurt, should only help, but its probably not needed and will just create a mess to clean up if you take it apart.

Honda bond is good stuff.
