Is the lever on the pedal itself bent? Can you bend it so the pedal itself sits higher and has more travel?
Not a Dominator expert, didn't even stay at a Holiday Inn either..... This is what I did as I use a Lokar throttle cable and like it but even with my 850 DP I could not get WOT. So I bent the gas pedal rod on the floor as I bent it up some for more pedal travel and it worked good. Ron i agree I have done this on 5 or 6 different cars....grab the pedal side and pull up you will be surprised on how easy it bends. Then after rejust your cable so that you're not killing the shafts the carburetor

Thanks for all the ideas guys. I talked to a buddy, he said they had to cut their cable so there was just enough slack when the engine would move it wouldn't rip the cable off the firewall. So I'm going to try shortening the cable some more between the bracket and firewall.
If that doesn't work I may just go the route hemi-itis did. Do you recall the part number? Does it actually mount in the stock holes? NO,,,,,,,,,,and NO When you look at their website, you'll see several different versions. You'll know what's will work for you.MY crew cheif raised the new pedal off the floor to insure full movement.
HEMI-ITIS has no cure. My condition is fully BLOWN!!

That rear hole goes below the throttle bracket at WOT. If I put the throttle stud there it will stop the throttle from going wide open as well.
I use photo bucket on my phone to post pics on here. It's actually pretty easy. I had to clearance my bracket a bit for the same reasons........

try using only one spring, went through this too. I also unbolted the top of the gas pedal and put a shim in the top kinda like bending the arm deal

I'm gonna try bending the gas pedal this afternoon when I get back out to the shop and readjust the cable see how that works.

Take the spacer out from under the rear stud or put a shorter one in its place.

I have the same throttle bracket, I went to the top hole and put spring return on lower hole to get it to work.

Can you put bolts from the adapter to the manifold, and put studs through the carb and adapter long enough to stick out the bottom and mount the throttle bracket from underneath?

On a side note like other guys stated above its very easy to bend the pedal, with that being said what's to stop it from bending back? Do you have to tweak it every now and then? Thinking I should maybe just put an aftermarket pedal in. The force it will take to bend the pedal is far greater than what the throttle blades and return springs will exert on it so you should be good to go. Just make sure that there is a positive stop under the pedal that corresponds to WOT so it doesn't go past. Kevin

The simple way is reach down and bend the pedal arm up away from the floor...this is what I do The good ol' reach down and bend the valiant pedal upwards trick to gain more travel until it snaps off and your idling your way back to a buddies workshop to weld it back on

Kevin Me remembering back in the day idling my early A-body to a workshop, all dressed nice and with a mig welder in hand crouched under the dash welding my pedal back on and hoping the carpet didn't catch on fire disagrees with your theory If ya going to bend your pedals up for more travel, which is a Mopar past time, weld some steel to it to strengthen it or it can snap off eventually

Well I got it to open almost all the way. The problem I see is it's already going back down, so I'd have to some how lower the bracket. They have stupid aluminum spacers you have to put under the bracket to clear the accelerator pump arm. Which raises the bracket up .250... Stupid bandaid in my opinion, why not space the front and angle it properly so the rear can sit without a spacer???? Anyway almost solved my dilemma. The primary is almost all the way open, but the secondary is about 75-80°. Hard to tell in the picture but you can tell it's not even close to the primary. Am I being too critical, or should they both be almost 90°? I spent money on the NOS brand version of that throttle cable setup with the solenoid brackets. Same thing, hit the pump arms and was in the way of the fuel lines. Nice idea, poor execution. When stuff happens like this I wonder how many of these are collecting dust because of the retarded design.

A spacer under the rear of the cable mount will only make your issue worse.. you can see in the pic its pulling straight from the cable to the carb mount point.. if you move to the upper hole you will need to get more travel.. bend the arm inside if you want or add some length to the top of the pedal EDIT I built about 50 or so pedals for production cars Also... undo the cable at the carb.. push the arm all the way open.. does it open both blades fully
