A friend's son has a 94 Ram with a 360. The problem is that as it comes up to temp (water) it starts running really rough he says. He said it runs fine until its warm then goes rough. He's had it to 2 shops and they couldn't figure it out. I know he tried a new coil, but no change. Any ideas? Oh yes, I believe he said they tried a new computer too with no change.
Thanks,
Ken.

o2 sensors. Try unplugging them and see if it still does it.

Does it use oil? Could be the intake gaskets leaking.

Are there any codes? Have the shop take a close look at the coolant temperature sensor reading. I've seen the wire insulation become brittle, break off and short together making the PCM think the engine is 40 degrees below zero. Causes an extremely rich condition.

Unfortunately I know very little about it, only what his dad told me, but I will pass this along. Thanks guys.
Ken.

Also if the thermostat is stuck partially open the engine takes too long to get to operating temp. This causes the PCM to keep adding fuel because the engine is cold. Then once it gets to temp the adaptives are too far out to correct and it continues to run rich.
