moon OP member Joined: Jan 2007 Posts: 136 AZ, USA	I have a 62 Dodge Polara 500 with tapered axles and 741 case and the third member is making noise. I have a 489 third member from a 69 Fury...will the 489 interchange with the 741 using my tapered or are the splines different?
