I'll call this post a reliability update, been beating on this thing basically every weekend and haven't had any hiccups. Probably 75 runs on it now.
Ran a new best this weekend of 10.23@131, still 3500# of machine here. Really need to work on the 60 foot as that was only 1.46, It wants more gear and converter.
Made 17 runs on Saturday double entered into Pro and Footbrake (won Pro, R/U in Footbrake). Another 7 runs Sunday (won Pro). 24 passes in two days, on Saturday in the late rounds I made 5 runs in under an hour. Trans was smokin hot, but the engine just kept chugging along.
Everyone loves the hemi!

Good job Dustin. That is a well put together engine. And congrats on those wins. Have you won enough money to pay for the build yet?

I'm betting you are shifting below your peak HP rpm. Have you tried taking it to 7400-7500? I think there is more in it but I haven't started leaning on it yet. With a 30" slick and only 4.10's the car definitely wants more gear and RPM. I'm possibly changing the gear later this fall, I'll test first with a 28" tire and see how it likes that. Only thing potentially holding it back up high would be the camshaft which is installed 5 degrees advanced at 103.

It goes to 5800 on the brake and flashes similarly, it would probably like 6200+

Grandma owned, only driven to church on Sundays. Bracket racer problems... can't always change things if you want to win. What do you boys shift at? Ray? Steff? anyone?
