it occurred to me you might be looking for the plastic/nylon pieces that pinch together on either side of the glass and fit into the channel?

I've found them for under 50 a side online for original mopar parts... dodge trucks I believe up to the early 90s used the same piece. They also repop them now I think.

can anyone help me with the shape of my windows? I tore this car apart 8 years ago. sine then , many things have changed in my life. Lost my wife to cancer and then I just did not want to do anything. I have now decided that I want to get my car going. Can't figure out the window thing. the windows that I have all have a lower piece of glass on the back or front that to repo glass does not have. hope the glass is the right pieces. I can't remember where I got what I have. the original pieces had problems and I think I got different pieces to replace them. Can't remember. thanks the car is a 1968 roadrunner with pop out windows in the back

The mylar pieces are still available and they retail at close to $73 each from Chrysler. Be very careful in purchasing the cheaper ones on the market as people are passing them off as being original Chrysler pieces. Personally, unless the items are not in the sealed wrap from Chrysler, I would not trust them to being the real deal. The manufacture of the reproductions has redone the tooling and they are much more correct as the first run was too thick and stiff. You can use the reproductions, but make sure that they are of the recent run and be very careful as they are not quite as user friendly as the OEM pieces. Your car is a post car, so these pieces are also used on the rear pop out quarter windows aw well. I stock both styles, so I always point the differences out to my customers.

I bought some of the reproduction for a customer and they were not near as good as the originals I've used in the past. Buy the OEM ones.

If the parts in this pic are what you want, here are the Chrysler part numbers.
#2932230 is the weatherstrip including the plastic slides/clips.
Slide/clip alone is #4198752.

You can check your local dealer or an online dealer for price and availability. As already mentioned, they are also available from reproduction dealers.

I have not used Chrysler or reproduction ones myself, so cannot comment on either.

I cannot specifically help, but here is some info.

As you probably know, coupe/post door glass is different from hardtop glass. I would first try to determine if the new glass you have is for your car or a hardtop. Do you have any part numbers on the glass or from when you bought it?

Chrysler lists different part# glass for '68 compared to '69/70. However the reproduction/aftermarket glass suppliers list the same glass for '68-70 (coupes and hardtops being different). So, perhaps the replacement glass will work.

Hopefully someone with more knowledge of '68 door glass will help you out.

Here is a thread with a photo of '68 post style glass that sounds like you describe.
