When I opened the hood the coil was all wet from water running down on it. It will start once it dries out but I need it to start even when its wet out!!! Any suggestions appreciated! Stop that waterfall

Been there, done that. I used heavy zip lock baggies to cover the coil and distributor on my neighbor's beater truck having the same issue. Kept them dry.
Master, again and still

I thought the ignition coil on a 5.9 truck engine was on the right front below the valve cover??
As a quick fix, try spraying some WD-40 on the cap, & wires.. I did the WD 40 trick and nothing.....Yes it is on the RH side by the belt tensioner. It was soaked when I opened the hood the distributor was dry. No "factory" parts are missing this just started a few weeks ago....
