You might save 10 lbs cutting out the inner fenders. Not worth it when it comes to everything getting dirty for the front tires throwing dirt around.

I'd cut them off and anything else that would make it lighter and gives you more ease to get at the engine... forget about getting dirty.. your playing on a drag strip

I don't know if it's allowed in your class, plus the expense, but changing your leaf springs to coil overs would save a lot of weight. I can off the leafs and 4 link it for my local class, but I'm really looking forward to touring some and running in some of the heads up leaf spring classes

What ignition do you run with that beast? Pro Mag 44 with a grid, it's so much nicer than when I was trying to pull timing with a six shooter
