I didnt get one of those fancy tranny cradles , mine came on a piece of carpet or cardboard Or sumthin in the back of a pickup . i want my money back !
Is that the new shipping method ?
Maybe that guy who keeps wanting to do an assembly line tranny build with 4-5 guys can buzz those together for you .. Those shipping cradles were the hold up ?

It's good that after all these years. Some are getting out the door
If I was to spend money on a new stick tranny. It would be the 6 speed like in our hellcat
After seeing vid of a M6 (6 speed) cat put 1021 hp to the back wheels
There is no doubt that it would Handel anything I will throw at it
And it has a extra gear

So...Without trying to wade through 100 + pages of this thread...

Has it been revealed somewhere the actual price of this transmission ?

Is there an entire set-up available ? I mean everything from the back of the crankshaft to the driveshaft, pedals, hump, shifter E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G ?

'69 Charger...472 Hemi shruggy

Trans is 4795ish last time I looked, everything comes with it to install this trans in a manual car already (shifter/linkage). If you are converting an auto, you can still source the parts but they are not part of the regular kit. Tim

Pretty sure it's around $5k just the trans.

complete conversion kits...I think you can find a lot of parts used. I think the auto-x-member will work w/this trans.

Just get a big-block bellhousing, pedals, TO bearing, clutch just about anywhere.

Then there's the hump you have to weld in.

Call the guy. Hes good at answering the phone. Or send an email directly to him. He's pretty busy and doesn't get on here everyday to check this thread. There isn't just one set price as you can pick multiple options when doing a conversion.

Did that.

The coversion kits I saw there were for the four speed transmissions... About $4000 trans and all.

So...in the five plus years this thread has been running, has anybody here actually completed a conversion from an automatic on a 69 B body?

Is everything available from one source (Passon)?

that's the whole point of this transmission, that it is a 100% bolt in replacement for an A833. so every single piece you need to do a conversion will be the same regardless of whether you using a stock A833 or jamie's new A855.

i haven't checked his site, but i'm sure he has a kit for all the parts minus the trans. if not, just email or ask him.

Andy,
The shipping cage was not the holdup. That is a result of bringing some truly visionary eyes to the table and some seriously skilled fabrication people to design and build a better mouse trap.

All:
The transmission package includes the following:
Transmission
Shifter mechanism
Shifter linkage
Shifter mount plate
Longer Speedometer Cable

Cost is $4995.00
This will fit into an existing factory 3 or 4 speed floor shift 67-Up A Body, '62-74 B Body /70-74 E Body car with NO MODS. It will fit'63-66 A Bodies with a floor dimple for speedo cable clearance. This need for a dimple will be remedied soon.

We do not advertise a complete changeover kit because there are too many variables such as including carpet or not, console or not, different year A/B/E Bodies take different parts. Just these three variations can cause a $1000+ difference. So it makes no sense to advertise a kit at a certain price. Ultimately, there will be an angry customer because his kit costs more than the advertised price. (even though there are a bunch of changes)
Hopefully people understand that. I am always happy to work up an individual price for a complete conversion kit from auto to stick.
Jamie

Hi Andy ,

Question : If placing an order online for your nice 5 speed.
What would the "real world" delivery time be?

I do not know the number where the bottom of the list is, but for those on it at around 200ish according to my conversation of roughly a month ago with Jamie,...it would be ~ another 8 month getting to me. Now maybe 7.

Thinking out load here: I may stick with my Passon Hemi 4spd/OD (20% OD) when the time comes, and whoever's behind me would move up a notch. Not sure of staying in the game for the extra gear & 10% more OD at the current unit price.

I am a fortunate observer to this exciting and well-needed product for Mopar folks. I currently run Passon's Over Drive gear set in my V-code 70 RR and very impressed with the feel and performance. The Over Drive is a great improvement for Mopar shifting, however, wait till you see the ease of installation and feel the performance of the new A-855!! I have had many opportunities to observe the professional and detail oriented folks who are installing and testing the new bolt-in A-855 5 speed. I have also been fortunate to provide feedback after test-driving these 5-speeds that have been powered by R.B.'s 528 (650hp) Hemi and 440 powered cars. I am here to tell you that the wait WILL be worth it! First off, Passon's goals are deep rooted and he clearly shows an internal drive to get-it-right . Customer satisfaction is always embedded in the conversations! Passon is a detail-oriented guy and has been very smart in collaborating with other professionals to make this a lasting success story. From Passon's initial idea for a 5-speed to the final product shipped, you will be impressed beyond words. If you’re into bulletproof shifting or saving wear and tear on your steet/highway driven Mopar......check the A-855 out. Having the extra gear actually excites and encourages a person to get out and drive. Driving our Mopars is what it's all about!! Isn't it?

That extra gear is more reason I like the 6 speed like in the hellcat. They been holding up to over 100 hp to the back wheels in a 4500# car
