Wondering if anyone has tips on how to get a 69 b-body trunk lid off by myself? I thought it might be possible to unbolt it and bring it down like shutting it but realized the hinge arms or whatever they're called are spring loaded at that point so when the trunk lid releases it could get ugly.
Any tips are appreciated.

Pop the springs loose first. No need to fight spring tension to do this.

Easy to do. Open, unbolt & pull up in line with the hinge angle.
A, B & E body, I have never needed help. Not all of us are create equal, what is easy for you and me may not be as easy for others on here

I just my engine hoist with a strap. Engine hoists are a wonderful thing. They are not only for lifting motors. Work smarter not harder!!!! That's a good idea, hadn't thought of that, thanks.

I've found some rolled up blankets strategically placed help. Always handy to have a blanket in the car.
