Hey Cole, what's new in your neck of the woods? It is black in color, and is a 10". It has 5/16 bolts. I was told it was ATI, but I called them and they never heard of a number like that. thanks for the reply

50,000 members and nobody has ever seen a conv like this? lol
BUMP Sure.......seen plenty. It's black and it's a torque converter. The number on the gear is likely just the gear number. With no stampings on either half...........yep, it's a torque converter and that's about all any one will be able to tell you. I CAN tell you this, it's likely NOT an ATI. Never seen a company like that that doesn't stamp them. How would THEY even know what it was with no numbers on it. Lots of local trans shops built converters for people. Probably what that is. You want to know the "specs" somebody will have to cut it open and see what parts are in it

BUMP Let see, 10 inch converter with no I.D #s and 5/16 bolts, probaly a real cheap one like the old hated GER brand
Mr.Cab Racing and winning with Mopars since 1964. (Old F--t, Huh)

Ronnie, I see no-name 11" converters that look like that all over ebay for a couple hundred bucks. But no 10". Don't know anything else other than to have it opened up to find out exactly what it is.
If the results don't match the theory, change the theory.

I had a junk GER conv years ago, lol. It actually looked like a normall conv, but it was def a p.o.s. I would like to find a brand that looks similar and call the company but, oh well. I'll just sell it or put it in something to check it.

Ronnie, I see no-name 11" converters that look like that all over ebay for a couple hundred bucks. But no 10". Most 11" converters are based on factory cores where the ring gear attaches directly to the shell, ring gears attached with "spokes" like the pic are 10" and smaller.

I've never seen one that was smooth like that one is. Best thing is to have it cut open and inspected. My local guy will do that pretty cheap.

If nothing else, it would be interesting to know what it is. Seems you have the only one.

I guess I need another pic to explain what I'm thinking, lol. If that makes any sense at all. The bottom of the shell isn't radiused like most.
