The the car that became the Yellow Jacket / Diamante was not coded for an N96 hood.
But it is a R code car.

I just saw the Diamante at the Muscle Car Nationals in Chicago. I didn't get a chance to see the fender tag but from reading this little billboard it states that is was the first shaker hood challenger and convertible built.

I have all the Inside data & info, the MSO as well as the window sticker and all documentation as well as personal photos of the Yellow Jacket from start to finish as well as personal stories about it being built. fender tag codes etc. . It did not have a Shaker. I repeat it did not have a Shaker. I don't think you could get a Shaker hood until the lawsuits were settled being April 17th 1970 the earliest known Shaker Hood Challenger built that I know of. Lawsuits? First I've ever heard of this! Can you expand on that a little?

Built by Chrysler, but it was not built with a shaker at the factory.
The car's fender tag went missing early on.
N96 is not on the Chrysler invoice. Barry, while we're on the subject of the Diamante, is it 1 of the 9 U.S. sold Hemi Challenger verts?
