I'm using the stamped steel chrome covers and wondering what you folks use for gaskets? I have cork ones in it now. Any info you folks can share with me? Thanks

mickm master Joined: Jul 2006 Posts: 4,179 California	i'll need to look. i use the felpro, but i'm not sure about the blue. i even need to double mine up so the stock valve covers clear the rockers, and they seal perfectly!

OUTLAWSSAA super stock Joined: Feb 2003 Posts: 991 Addison,IL	Those Fel-Pro 1657 won't work on a stamped steel valve cover. There made for cast aluminium valve covers. You need to use either cork or something thick.(neoprene)

It's very easy to over torque the bolts and bend the sealing flange with the cork & rubber gaskets. Be sure and take the time to check and correct where necessary or you may continue to have leaks even with new gaskets. We offer a quality gasket for your application also Superformance Products

hemi-itis I Live Here Joined: Dec 2007 Posts: 12,587 Great Neck,LI,new york	I have changing out all my gaskets to SUPERPERFORMANCE.Ordered 2 oil pan,4 waterpump, and4 carb base and an intake.Best feeling gaskets I have found. HEMI-ITIS has no cure. My condition is fully BLOWN!!
