Hi All,
Hoping that someone can help with the propper valve clearances for an old Iski 505 cam I'm using in my 440. I've been told that it was sold as a kit in the early 70s and the kit consisted of cam, solid lifters, pushrods and adjustable rocker arms (they look similar to the factory ones used in the 273 la)I've had the engine running with the valves set at .023 but this is only an edjucated guess. It run fine with no noises but I would like to be sure that I am getting the most out of this set up.
Thanks in advance
Andy.

Which 505 grind is it? 505T,505C or what confused I have ran those cams years ago, Isky usually suggested .032 to .028 on all those old grinds, even the same grind on a roller cam confused We ended up running them tighter by .004 to .010 with iron heads when set hotshruggy Post the grind # and I'll look in one of my old catalogs or call Isky and get the correct lash for you thumbs

Thanks so much for replying, I thought that they may have been a tad tight. The cam is a 505T but I'm not sure of the spec. I will post it if I can find it (I have it written down somewhere).
Thanks again
Andy
