Welcome to the wondeful world of speed parts, is your cam a three bolt cam? If so position the #1 piston at TDC and move the cam without the outer Milidon gear on it so the cam pin is between 3 oclock and 4 o clock(lower right side of the clock face) position facing the front of the cam, install the outer gear and go throught the lobe seperation timing procedure, move the outer gear to get it where you want it I've used the 3 major three gear drives like yours, most of the them, Donovan, KB and Milidon, are very similar on the install procedures, a real pain in the rear Take your time, write it all down and see which way you need to move the gear to make it advance or retard Let us know how you do

I have the instructions I have it set on TDC now I'm lost lol Welcome to the Milodon Gear Drive instructions crowd.. Now you see why they "SELL" the video of how to.. From Dodgem: His simple how to, worked for me. I really like mine got two one in the box form my next 542 and one that came with this JWD 452. First yo put them on with no lower dowel pins and get gear clearance right drill to 5/16 and install 5'16 dowels and that is done. Trick is there are no timing marks! You turn the cam to .050 lift and turn the crank to the @.050 number you desire and then line the top gear up so 7 bolts line up perfectly and tighten gear then do your regular degree checks to make sure where you are!! then mark things and any advancing and retarding of cam from where you are is done buy lining numbers up to the original 1 mark!! So if you have a 260 @ .050 cam and you want it at 106 you divide 260 by 2 = 130 then you subtract 106 this leave 24 so you want @.050 lift at 24 BTDC (before) This helped me greatly. Chris..

Trying to get my cam degreed in my love deck with the milodon gear drive I have the instructions for the gear drive but not my cam card but I do have the basic info..was told by lunati it's a 112 lobe sep. And install at 108..can someone walk me through this I've got my TDC but this gear drive set up is confusing a little. .thanks I do my differently.. I set the crank at 108 on the degree wheel(after zeroing) then set the number one intake lifter at max lift... slide on the gear... recheck to see if its on or change it if needed... I will check the exhaust also...I usually set the cam with just the #1 piston in it.. makes it so much easier to turn... when I check I use the .050 before and after on the lifter

Another note.. Your Harmonic Balancer might be about .125"+ out further. Mine was. I guess the crank gears is thicker than timing chain stuff. Chris..
