MOPARCRAZY OP member Joined: Apr 2003 Posts: 153 VT	Tore down the tranny after what I figured was a sprag failure and it is toast. My current valve body doesn't have low band apply. Which low band apply manual reverse pattern body do you recommend? Thanks for the help. Lon

Turbo Action 17875XA 17875XA: CHEETAH XtremeAction Pro Street and Race Manual (PRN321) The 17875XA has a safe clean neutral and no need to use a button to backup. A clean rear band apply and release making it a great race or street valve body and No roller clutch failure. Provides full manual control only. No automatic features. Maintains stock shift pattern. Allows full engine braking (slow down) of vehicle by down shifting. This valve body is great for Drag Racing, Rock Crawling, Mud Bogging, Sports Car Racing and Pro Street. Polarapete top fuel P Joined: May 2003 Posts: 1,751 Graham, WA	Years ago I used the Cheetah RMVB #17156, but I now like the idea of a forward pattern so that I could pop the trans into neutral at the end of the run and coast down (we have lots of shut down room where I will be racing again). I have one in my street car that sees occasional track duty. 416 stroker from Nick at Compu-flow. 11.14 in full street trim. Seems like a new best every time out. 11.06 open headers----so far!!

MOPARCRAZY OP member Joined: Apr 2003 Posts: 153 VT	It wont wear it out faster. The issue without low band apply is that low gear is all relying on the sprag. If/when it fails the front drum will overspeed and many times explodes. I was lucky my front drum didn't fail but still changed it. A lot depends also on weight of the car, torque, and 60 foot times. I ran without the low band apply for a long time. This is the first sprag I had fail but at 680 ft lbs torque, 3500 lbs car, and 1.29 60 foot, low band apply was overdue.
