The guy that painted my duster traded me a set of fiberglass front fenders for my 73/72 dusters.Well the fenders did not come with head light buckets, So i bought a set through unlimited fiberglass. I kind of understand how they mount but would like to get some tips and advice from people that already have installed a set. Also i want to install my head lights but i am wondering how you keep the spring for the metal head light bucket from ripping through the fiberglass bucket?

Sounds like it might be easier to use stock buckets if you want to use real headlights.

I have a 72 duster with glass fenders and real headlights, I will have to see how they did it and try to post you a pic. Sir that would be awesome. This is my first time messing with fiberglass fenders so sorry for the dumb questions. I was thinking about if i couldn't get the fiberglass buckets to work, to find a junk set of fenders and cut the head light bucket out of them and use them.

I don't have a clue who made the fenders, my painter got them in a trade from somebody. one reason i put them on my 73 was becasue i got the front end off my 72 parts duster and the front fenders are usable but it was going to take time and money. So my painter had these available. But if its going to end up taking a lot of time and money to get the fiberglass buckets to work 0on my car, i will just put my 73 duster front end on, its fenders and hood need very little body work and then just paint them. Sounds like i might be in over my head on these fiberglass fenders. Did i for get to say i really suck at fabing stuff?? lol

Keep the original metal fenders. The fiberglass ones don't save you much in weight if anything and the quality and fit is worse as you are seeing, plus the extra fab work.
Not worth the Effort on the front fenders on the A bodies, IMO Doors and hood , yes. Hey Sport440 how have you been? me about to pull my hair out over this car.lol Sport I went with the fiberglass fenders becasue i was wanting to put a 72 duster front-end on my car.I really like the looks of the 70-72 better than the 73+ cars.At the time i thought i was saving time and money going with the ones i have now, becasue my factory ones was going to take lots of time and money to fix. pulse at the time i did not have the money to buy a different set of fiberglass fenders. Also I ran out of time and money to have the rest of the duster done by the paint guy. So looks like i am going to have to learn how to do body work and paint my self Which is pretty scary.lol becasue i am really thinking hard about just putting the 73 front end on it. I am about ready to sell it and take up bird watching.
