I think CRT sells the A&A brake..... Or did. I don't think he has one he made himself. I might be wrong, but I don't think so.
I ran the Griner brake for years and liked it. Any of them work good.
Have heard nothing but great stuff about Protrans. If I was to buy one today, would probably try one of his.

You sure about that?

A&A is out of the Indy area and owned by Rick Allison. As I said earlier, I think that is what CRT uses.

Pro trans is out in California and does a lot of the Mopars super stock stuff. I thought he made his own stuff?

Was told buy Rick that him and ProTrans spilt the orders when they get them made. I have had both Pro trans and A&A valve bodies, only difference is pro trans makes the plate gold and Rick leaves his black. Yes crt also gets valve bodies from Rick.

Kinda surprised that is the case. Protrans says on his site his valvebody's are made right on site. Learn something every day..... Interesting.

Edit.... Went back and reread his site...... " inhouse designed and assembled"......... Guess that leaves some wiggle room for " made" there...... Kinda misleading statement , fooled me.... Lol

Yes Rick and him design the valve body together and each make updates to the process. They are also each assemblies at there own shops but with all the same parts and pieces to help control production costs.

Rick told me they share a lot of hard parts, so they can keep quality up and costs down.

Griner was the original and best you could get at one time. The Tranzact is a copy of the Griner with some minor changes. The first TCIs were junk and they started buying from Tranzact, but with Joe's sketchy delivery times, don't know it that is still true. A&A, Pro-Trans and CRT are all the same. Coan has one, but it looks identical to the one TCI now sells.

The fastest ones are fluid exhaust, like the A&A. As of right now, Griner is the KING of the TH400 valve body and supposedly he is incorporating what he learned there on the Mopar brake, but don't know if that has happened yet.

So when it comes right down to it, there may SEEM like a lot of choices, but not really

Monte

You can go to Pro Trans Racing facebook and they have some picts of their work. I sold my Griner LBA trans brake and went with a Pro Trans clean neutral brake this time around. The trans I had it the Mirada was a Lofgren built 727 with a TranzAct brake (non LBA) and that trans worked sooo nice. I'm getting close to pulling the one in the Duster and just having it done.... it just isn't what the Mirada torqueflight was.
