working on my 74 Challenger 318 auto Car started all winter but last weekend it wouldn't start. No Spark. Tried it after a couple days and it fired right up. Yesterday I backed it outside and it died. Again no spark. I have replaced the Coil, Ballast Resistor, Electronic Control Module, and coil wire. I have power to all 4 corners of Ballast Resistor and power at both sides of coil. I have power at the coil even while cranking. The only other ting I can think would be the pick up in distributor. Any ideas would be appreciated

(1) pull the yellow wire off of the starter relay (2) seperate the zigzag dist pickup 2 wire connector at the dist. (3) pull secondary coil wire out of dist & hold it 1/4" from ground (5) A helper holds the key to "start" (6) you drag the male terminal on the body half of the zig zag connector across the intake (ground) to make/break continuity to ground (7) see if the coil secondary wire produces sparks. If it sparks & If you dont have a part time continuity problem from a bad connection/wire then all that is left is the pickup. ohm it (spec might be in the archives & 350-500 ohms comes to mind) & plug the yellow wire back in & crank the eng & see if you have ~1volt AC at the dist half of the zig zag pickup connector, meter on low volts AC scale. check reluctor gap/looseness of plate pivot pin. holler back
